No one will ever be like her. When she is gone. The world will be a sad place. She is grace.

I saw this footage on the news today. How interesting. I cannot imagine having so much responsibilty at such a young age! Do you think she will remain on the throne until she passes? Or will she have Charles become King..or maybe Wills? the Royal Family facinates me!
Have a wonderful weekend!

She defines the monarchy for many of us. I agree it will be a huge loss one day when she isn't around. Hopefully she'll live as long as her mother!

Nice to see this as most people would never have seen it on telly as very few people had them until after the Coronation in 1953.

Hope she goes on for a while longer yet. Don't have much faith in Charlie!

I just love the Windsors but Queen Elizabeth in particular. My favorite pics of her were by Annie Liebowitz. That one pic of her seated by the window took my breath away.

This is a lovely post. Sorry I missed her actual birthday. I took a computer break.

I stood and saluted while I watched that one.

No one I work with knows the reason for this, but anyone who accesses a password protected document at my place of work the password is GSTQ. God Save The Queen. If only they knew... I'd be run out of town.
