Spring the Sweet Spring.
Spring, the sweet spring, is the year’s pleasant king,
Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,
Cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing:
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
The palm and may make country houses gay,
Lambs frisk and play, the shepherds pipe all day,
And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay:
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
The fields breathe sweet, the daisies kiss our feet,
Young lovers meet, old wives a-sunning sit,
In every street these tunes our ears do greet:
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to witta-woo!

Ah, yes, to witta-woo!
It's starting to think about getting pretty out there now, isn't it? Now, for some sunshine!

"Wow! That is beautiful.
I love the Bradford pear trees here. I don't think we have those in England, do we? If we do, I've never noticed them before.
We see many beautiful Bradford Pears in bloom when we get down off the Plateau, but we haven't seen too many in bloom up here yet.
The crocuses are up here, too! Daffys beginning to open... Yayy, spring!
An old wife who does a-sunning sit...that's me! The pear tree is marvelous! And the words so full of spring!

I love Bradford Pear trees, but unfortunately the one we had blew over in a storm, which is something they are famous for--But even with that, I still think they are one of the prettiest trees in the spring!
Oh how lovely! Pear trees have such a nice shape, too.

I'd love you to pop by my blog today - I'd be interested in your opinion on today's English topic.
Lovely! Our Bradford pears are not in full bloom yet but the forsythia and plum tree are glorious.
Hugs!
Yes, the Bradford Pears are really showing off now in your area and in North Georgia... Ours haven't bloomed yet up here --but it won't be long!!!!

The Bradford Pear trees are beautiful, great shots. I don't think I've ever paid much attention to the blooms, I like that photo.
