Purple Delight

Despite late frosts earllier in the month, the ever faithful Clematis has once again returned.

And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast
Rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.

~Percy Bysshe Shelley, "The Sensitive Plant

My mother has so many clematis in her yard. I need to find one, they truly are beautiful.

Oh beautiful... mine has not started to bloom as of yet so I am certainly enjoying yours. Have a great week - wishing you blessings for your day.

The Clematis is beautiful! I love the deep purple. Last year sometime, our big dog Eli got tangled up in the Clematis vine. What a mess! It looked dead this spring, but I have found a new green shoot already climbing the post. Hopefully, there will be a bloom or two.

The Clematis is a delight to behold, and Shelley's descriptive words are a breath of spring.
More rain here and the temperature has dropped.
