Harvest Moon Picnic

"The gilding of the Indian summer mellowed the pastures far and wide.
The russet woods stood ripe to be stripped, but were yet full of leaf.
The purple of heath-bloom, faded but not withered, tinged the hills...
Fieldhead gardens bore the seal of gentle decay; ... its time of flowers and even of fruit was over."

Hello Jo,
I love Indian Summer. I don't notice it as much here in Kansas as I did while living in Canada as the seasons are very distinct up there. Where some of my family lives they have already had a few nights of scraping the frost off the car windows. I don't miss that at all. If they do get Indian Summer up there this year it will be beautiful. I hope you weekend is beautiful sunny and cooler.

Jo,
The picture of the outdoor dining, made me long for my mother. We used to set up any chairs and tables for picnics when we were all much younger and mommy was still with us. I miss those days. Smiles to you Jo, Susie
