Summer's End

"Spring flowers are long since gone.
Summer's bloom hangs limp on every terrace.
The gardener's feet drag a bit on the dusty path and the hinge in his back is full of creaks."-

I'm a relative new transplant in Arizona where there are 2 planting seasons - Feb and Sept. I just got the last of my garden planted this afternoon under a 112 degree cloudless sky.
Your photos are breathtaking!

Jo, if my summer had been like the pics on your blog, I'd be very sad indeed. Our summer in my area was so terrible, I'd never thought I would welcome the fall as much as I do.

Summer has certainly faded! I think I'll buy a potted mum. :)

Thanks for helping me celebrate my birthday today! xo

Summer is going to be over, for sure. The calendar says so, the plants are telling us too, but I am sure we will have touches of it, until the bitter (cold) end.

Hello Jo.

It is always a joy to visit... where do you get your pictures from! Love it! The old potting shed with its bench scattered with the remnants of summer. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, that's MY back the poet is talking about!

Today we had the first of the rains that signal fall is really here. Sigh...
