When I first watched these videos I couldn't stop crying.
First aired in 2000 "The Urban Elephant" brought viewers the touching story of Shirley and Jenny, two crippled elephants reunited at the Elephant Sanctuary in Howenwald, Tennessee.

Thank you!
I had to go over to PBS to watch this cause I couldn't hear the video. the music was too loud. Touching, thanks for posting it.

So heart touching! These beautiful elephants are now endeared to my heart. I also bookmarked the web page so I can visit these girls all I want. Thanks Jo! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs!
Thank was wonderful Jo! I went to the Sanctuary years ago, they do a great thing there!
Elephants are my favorite creatures, wise and wonderful. Thanks for these...
heartbreaking and wonderful at the same time. thank you.
Elephants are amazing!
I have long been a fan of this sanctuary and watch the elephants occassionally on their website "elecam". It's amazing to me that society still treats animals like they are stupid, unknowing just because they don't speak our language doesn't mean that they are dumb. Beautiful!
Do put your kettle on! I LOVE this. And we all need someone in our lives like Solomon too.
