The First Sergeant (hubby) went shopping to our local DIY store this afternoon, and returned with a truck load of perennials.......
All marked down to one dollar a pot, twenty pots in all, a mixture of white and pink Coneflowers, and garnet colored Coreopsis.
Despite their end of season bedraggled appearance, I was over the moon, and can just imagine how pretty they will look in the beds next year.
Don't you just love a bargain !

You're giving me ideas!
They don't yet know how lucky they are to be in your lovely yard. I look forward to their magnificence.
what a deal, and i like them in the barrow. hubby found 2 beautiful half dead Christmas cactus in the trash can at the church, they now reside on our front porch and are 2 feet around.
Those will be lovely additions to your garden.
Gota love thoses bargains! Looks great ! Have a wonderful day !
We tend to enjoy bargain plants more than the ones we pay full price.
Will you have a kind of an English summer now? how super...love the flowers!
Your post will have me looking for an old barrow, I love the idea great post.
What a good husband and a good deal.
Glad you reminded me.....Lowe's has a big sale on right now so I had better give THE BOSS my credit card and turn her loose:-)
I would be over the moon too, at $2 a pot! Besides being beautiful, conefloweres drop SO many seeds that, in time, you will be transplanting them all over your place. It will be a cone flower heaven!
