Did you put it in your front yard? BTW, how is Oliver doing, these days?
Sharon, it's sitting in the back of the property right now, but may change when the warmer weather gets here.Oliver is doing great, leg healed beautifully, he doesn't even want to go outside these days, I put him on the porch in a pet cage for a couple of hours each evening.Thank you for asking !Hugs,~Jo
That would not be a comfortable ride!Best to you and Oliver.
I agree...a wonderful conversation piece!
Mu uncle loved collecting old farm equipmentAn Arkies Musings
perfect for yard art and i really like it, also you are saving it for the future plus recycling it instead of letting it go to the dump. i vote you get the horses.
Does the genius of inventors just boggle the mind?! The Oliver is certainly an interesting contraption and was an improvement on walking behind the horse when mowing!I'm glad to hear your 4 legged Oliver is doing well. It's certainly understandable if he's a bit hesitant to return to the wandering the great outdoors.Happy Saturday!Hugs!
In a few years you will be saying, "Do you think it's time to re-paint the Oliver?" and the red cat will quietly slip under the sofa. Claw clipping is bad enough. re-painting is out of the question!
What a wonderful old piece Jo! I think it makes grand yard art. You'll have to post a photo when it gets situated in it's proper spot.
Great piece of garden art. I have a collect of cultivators, but I keep them hidden, don't want the weather to wreck them, LOL
I think it's wonderful that you found this beautiful antique and were able to get it. It truly does make a grand piece of yard art.
I think that you now need to get a horse to go with that. A big Clydesdale, red and white, just like Oliver.
Old farm machinery is so artistic in its own way...what a lovely piece!
We had a rake with a metal seat like that and as a kid I would go out and sit on the seat and fly airplanes. It is a neat mower. Plant sweet clover around it for flowers.
