Down The Rabbit Hole

Our Internet modem decided it was time to take leave of absence this past weekend, and just like that.... poof..... we were void of connecting to the world of cyberspace and all of it's wonders.
It's almost scary how dependent and intertwined our daily lives have become with modern technology at out fingertips.
Truthfully, the first few days, I felt lost, no checking e-mails, or reading favorite blogs, it's a strange feeling of the world moving on without you.
Thankfully, a new modem arrived today, and I've got my wings back.
Forgive me if I've not visited in the last week, I've been down the rabbit hole ..........

Welcome back!
I've been down that rabbit hole a couple of times lately. Suddenly you feel very cut off from the rest of the world!

Like the song says, "you don't know what you've got till it's gone." Me, my stress level goes way up when something techy goes wrong.

We've had the same problem with oour internet from time to time as well--I'm a hopeless "internet junkie" so my husband does what he can to get it fixed as soon as possible--Fortunately I can use a computer at work and my phone too. But it's just not the same, but it's a "fix!" :-) Glad you're up and running again, and I hope you're getting some relief from all this heat!

Hi, we are all slaves to technology, we feel lost without it.

I also thought you were off on vacation. I guess it was sort of an enforced one. Welcome back! I too am hopelessly addicted.

Dear One,
Technology is awesome, but when it goes on the blink...ouch.

God bless,

I so agree with that lost, unsettled feeling when the computer, server, or electricity malfunctions and suddenly you and your household are on your own... as households were for eons before computers and before cell phones, for that matter. How spoiled we are.

Cheering that you're back! I missed you while you were in wonderland but I did sew while enjoying your lovely music! Ta!

Hugs!

I'm glad you're back. Isn't it awful how dependent we are but being without the internet shows us how much we truly enjoy it.
I love the previous post. We call those chairs "Mama and Papa" chairs because my hubby's grandparents always sat in some like that under the shade tree in the summer. As a matter of fact, I just saw one behind a store. I think I will go see if they want to get rid of it and I can paint it.

Glad you are back too, love reading your blog it is very interesting. I think I might just dive down the rabbit hole with our baby bunnies and when i come out the fairies might have fixed everything:)

Oh well we are allowed to dream....

I can open packages...I have a stanley knife in my kitchen drawer...stole it from the shed...so I guess I am ahead on one front.

Hi Jo! First of all the pic on your post today is charming. Secondly, I agree with you completely. We have become so attached to our internet connections and feel lost without them. But ... I'm glad you are back and look forward to reading your charming posts each day!!

Love,

Hi, thanks for the visit and comment on my blog. Its funny you should post about this subject because I was only thinking last night about what would I do if there was no internet. Computers can do loads of stuff but without a connection they are only a fraction of the fun.

Don't you hate stuff like that? It's amazing how reliant we've become on electricity and the internet...they are our connections to everything it seems! So glad you are back!

Well Jo if I had to be down a rabbit hole I would want it to be your beautiful rabbit hole. I know what you mean about being lost without the internet..who'd have thought we'd be so attached to our computers! I'm glad you weren't down too long. Have fun catching up. Maura :)
