It's been awhile since shadows have appeared.
The ground has been covered in white, for most of it's February days.
Shadows 'don't do' white.
The wrought iron gate took on a whole new look, silhouetted against the wooden porch.
A strange circle of light appeared in the sky, and stayed there until nightfall.

Clarksville has sunshine too. I actually had to pull the curtains closed to watch a bit of TV this afternoon.
I enjoyed it while it was here... isn't it supposed to rain again this weekend?
Glad to see that you have sun and no snow. The sun came out here today too, but the temperature dropped down again. It's been in the 50's for the last week. Now I just can't seem to warm up. Like you, I am anxious for warmer days. Until then, you will just have to enjoy your lovely flowers in a vase.
Love,
Susan and Bentley
Wonderful! I love those flowers, and the shadows...
I like the photo's. It is warming up here so it can rain this week-end.

Those top two images are a great study in form and texture and well observed. As a child I would gather lots of stones in a pile and when the sun was up I would try and cover the shadow of the chosen tree, thus leaving the shape of the shadow tree in stone on the ground. It took a lot of practice, you had to be fast, and then it tended to be small tree's only. Your image reminds me of those days!
Hey Jo I think EVERYONE is ready for Spring, it seems this Winter has been tooo cold and tooo long!
Your pictures are warming though! xoxo

Oh, I'm longing for sunshine, too! I sit in my office on sunny days in front of the window and close my eyes and soak up as much as I can! Soon, very soon, that sun will be hot!

That is such a nice bouquet. I like your shadows pictures. We have yet to see ground up here, and more snow is coming down right now. Take care.
I realy like the shadows, also silhouetts. Great idea to place the flowers at the end. Awaiting Spring time.
Wasn't it wonderful seeing that sunshine this week, Jo???? It felt SO good... Seems like it has been forever since we had any sun... Even the birds were singing today.
Hope you have a great weekend and week ahead. We are headed to Arkansas tomorrow.
Hugs,
Betsy
Lovely shadows here.
I love charity shops etc too but have to curb my buying or my house would be overflowing.
