Blooms Despite Gloom

We haven't seen the sun in the past four or five days, he's been hidden behind rain clouds.
It's an unusual time of the year weather-wise, because May in the south means sunshine, and last night the temperatures dipped into the forties.

Despite the cooler days, and lack of sunshine, the flowers are beginning to bloom.

They're all beautiful Jo; especially the iris. We dipped into the 40's here last night too. It's been a very strange year for weather.

The sun has been shining here ever since I wrote my post on Monday about how gloomy it's been. (I'm hoping that talking about how much I'm enjoying it won't make it go away!)

Just love your pictures, as always. That antique rose takes my breath away.

I have the worst luck with delphiniums, but yours are lovely near the garden shed. It is indeed time for a stroll through the woods before the mugginess sets in.
