Nesting Season
A bitter-cold night, ground laden with a hoar frost.
The kind of evening that lends itself to staying indoors, finishing the Christmas cards, and watching old movies on the television.
With the cold weather we have had this week, I thank God for the roaring fires we have in our fireplace. AND--I thank George also--since he keeps the fires going for us!!!!
Yes and I love nesting, don't you. I'm definitely a cold weather person. I suppose it's what you are used to. I love your picture today. Looks very cosy through the window. Blessings, Star
Hello Jo! What a wonderful photo...I love old windows. I'm still waiting for snow...looks like we may get some on Saturday. If so I will have my camera ready :) Enjoy your Friday! Maura :)
I love being outside, but I do like being closed in protected from the wind and snow and cold. It is like a time to rest from all the garden and yard work.

This cold weather isn't something one thinks they will find in TN, right? Not this early, anyway. Definitely time to nest!
Have a good night!
I would only add that a cold night is also perfect for sitting in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace.
Indeed! Enjoy the lovely twinkling lights and the fragrances that add magic to the cold nights!
Hugs!
i am feeling oh so cozy and warm looking out your window after i entered through the open door.

I guess I need to take down my fall door hang. Are you looking for snow?
I love nights like that...oh so cozy!
OOOH, is that a peek into your house or potting shed? Whatever it is, I love the effect!
Your post is so peaceful especially with the music and the falling snow. Just beautiful!

This is lovely!
I'll have a cup of tea to go with this, please.

Ooh, a time to nest sounds soooo lovely. Ahhh. And I see you did indeed finish those Christmas cards. Good for you! :)
