The sun has shone all day, almost summertime weather. If I were to close my eyes, I would have thought it to be the middle of August.
The Oak leaves are finally taking their bow, show over.....
There is so much tidying to do around the garden, the bad knee just won't co-operate.
The little Carolina Wrens have taken to roosting nightly, in the old Robin's nest on the porch summer wreath.
I really feel bad about taking it down, so it may be adorned with Christmas lights this season.
Oliver has been busy hunting field mice. He insists on bringing them home to share his prize.

Oh My----I'm sure that Oliver wants to 'share' his mice with you.... YIPES!!!!! ha ha
Too bad you have to take down the nest.... The Carolina Wrens love to build their nests in our garage. But--when we open and close the door--it scares them...
Sorry to hear that your knee is still bothering you. What does your doctor say??? If it is a meniscus tear (what I had), get it fixed... It's worth it --and my knee feels WONDERFUL.
Hugs,
Betsy
It really was a gorgeous day today! Our oak leaves are all brown and mostly on the ground, not pretty like yours! Jill has really been enjoying this warm weather, I can hardly get her to stay indoors! We both know - it won't last, but it's nice while it's here!!!
Our weather here in SoCal has been beautiful too. Today we were in the mid-70's. We've had a little wind, but not bad enough to cause a problem.
Oliver is very cute.
The colors of these leafs are just beautiful unfortunately we don't have these changing colors in the tropics as beautiful as true Autumn colors.
I remember our own 'Oliver' bring his prizes home. Our 'Oliver' was called Binky. Oliver reminds me of my Ginger Tom, he's so handsome. Your seasonal photos are a delight to the eyes Jo. Have a great weekend. Sorry you have a sore knee.
The mist finally cleared here in Oregon to give us all a beautiful view if Mt Hood. Not sounding so good for the weekend though.......
What a gorgeous day indeed. I am loving this fall and so thankful for it. Those oak leaves are just gorgeous :)

Stunning photos! Oliver is quite the model.

What a sweet kitty. She looks so innocent there in the photo....
Hope your knee continues to improve. From my experience with the bad knee...I learned to just keep off my feet for a bit and gave it a real chance to heal. It's hard to do when the best season of the year for gardening is right now.
Take care...xo
colours of indian summer, great ! big hugh Kathrin
Oliver is "glowing" so pretty.
that second photos of the sun shining on the leaves is a miracle off beauty. I love what sunshine does to objectss and these are painted perfectly. I am thinking they would make a great card.
What wonderful pictures! Fall is such a beautiful time of year, and that precious kitty makes me want to pet something!
I have a heart made out of grapevines with flowers in it. The wrens made a nest in it over the summer and they are still using it for night-time resting place. Beautiful bright colors in the trees this time of year! Fall is my fave!
There's that cat again (want want want).
Sorry to hear you have a bad knee!
Typical when you have work to do.
The oak leaves are gorgeous.
Blessings, Star
I'm sorry your knee has not been cooperating with you when you try to get some of your projects done. I hope it is soon better.
Our weather has been absolutely glorious this week. Too bad it can't stay this way!
The fall weather here has been wonderful, sunny and the air is so fresh, great for doing out door activities. The nights drop to about the freezing point. Love your photos !
Autumn, my favorite season.
Your pictures say it all.
