Oh, I do love morning doves and mockingbirds. Mom used to sing me a southern song - Tradaleeda, tweedleydeedee, it gives me a thrill. To wake up in the morning on Mockingbird hill. Tradaleeda, tweedleydeedee, there's peace and goodwill, when you wake up in the morning on Mockingbird Hill.

How delightful. I do hope our weather cools down. Now Mockingbird Hill will be running through my head!
Happy Weekend.

After reading the comment from Donna baker,I now have that song in my head,my mother also sang it to us,I have not come across it for years.!
Glad to hear the weather is more tolerable in your part of the world,we are having our first rain fall for months, this morning and it is badly needed, but it is very humid,I think we are in for a thunder storm.

Yes here too it has cooled down Jo from 90's all last week to finally 70's this next week. Gardening here I come!!!
I don't have a Rose of Sharon here but I remember them well from Kansas City and they are just beautiful when in bloom. Have a great holiday weekend and please post more garden photos when you have a chance...

Hi Jo. YES---this weather is fabulous... Got down into the 40's during the night... Great sleeping weather. But--we didn't get a drop of rain with none in sight now... Guess we'll be watering the yard most of the week...

Love your Rose of Sharon. They are so pretty this time of year. And yes---the birds love this cooler weather just like we do.

Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

We woke up to 72 and now it's 79. Still preferable to the over 90s temperatures we have had. A gorgeous day with a nice soothing breeze. Lovely photos Jo. I love your bird bath too and well caught on the little bird flying out of it.
