A New Garden Statue...

One of the purchases we made at the flea market this Sunday, was a new St. Francis of Assisi statue. Already finished with a beautiful verdigris patina.
I've placed him at the pond, a once favorite hang-out for my beloved cats, now at the Rainbow Bridge.
Just when the sun started shining....you guessed it !
More rain......

This particular birdbath has been filled naturally by nature's rainfall for the past two weeks.

The fungi and toadstools think all the rain is terrific. They are growing everywhere.

A little birdie told me, someone has been busy housecleaning....

I really like the statue of St. Francis of Assissi Jo. It looks beautiful there in your garden. I also rather like the bird house. It looks very cosy indeed.

Coming from OK, I should be thankful for every drop, but I am sick of rain. Storm last night blew large potted plants over. Just have to remember that El Nino brings lots of rain and cooler temps. La Nino is terrible for us, with high temps and record drought.

Walking through your garden must be a magical experience.
Are you sure you don't have a unicorn somewhere in the woodlands?

Hi Jo, I love the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. Have you heard it???? It's fabulous.

We finally got some sunshine today---first since Monday over a week ago. It was SO nice.

Hopefully, the worst of this horrible weather is over for all of us.

Hugs,
Betsy

Star: Thank you, I've always loved St. Frances of Assisi being an animal lover and all.

Bennie and Patsy: I think I may go back to see what else i can find next week !

Donna: Oh, I will take the rain over the drought any day. At least most things grow in rain...drought well not so.

Sunny: That's so cute :)
I seem to have a lot of magical things in the woods, but a unicorn, well I'll have to get out my night vision binoculars ;)

Betsy: I have heard the St. Frances prayer it is indeed beautiful, I should have posted it...oooh.

Becca's Dirt: I saw some mushrooms today that were just beautiful, but didn't have my camera with me. Oh well, a lesson learned ;)

That is such a classic styled sculpture. Mine is so cartoonish compared to that. Good purchase, great placement, and I like your water gauge. I was too dense to realize at first that you were showing us how much rain you are getting.

L.D. Burgus: I can't remember seing your statue, now I'll have to go have a look around your blog, to see if I can spot him.
Rain guage is from Smith and Hawken, I bought two ;)

Wanda: Glad you like to visit, I think your garden and woods area, are just the perfect place!
I feel like Hansel and Gretel would pop out from behind one of your trees....

I've seen many St. Francis statues gracing/blessing people's gardens! Looks like he's doing a great job with yours :) The fungi is amazing off the tree.
