Morning Visitors...
An almost chilly 46 degrees this morning, brought visitors to the garden.
The fawn is more adventurous than the mum.
She stands with her guard up at all times.
The Morning Glories continue to bloom, by noon they are long gone.
Our deer haven't been back in a while, but no matter how many times I see them I am just as excited the last time as I was the first.. The morning glories are a sure pick me upper..
The only place I see deer around here is when I go hiking and they are normally not out by the time I hit the trail. It's a little cooler here in SoCal today too. Was a nice 52 degrees this morning when I woke up.
Love seeing the deer. The morning glories are just beautiful, save the seeds for next year. I don't know where you could get the book but it is by Sasquatch books and Carla Emery wrote it. Patsy
as a fellow tennesseen, i have been enjoying your blog! it WAS chilly this morning. i have always said it seems the season changes overnight here...sweet deer and morning glories!
Hi Jo, Wow--that's neat. Seeing deer is just so much fun, but I hope they didn't eat your flowers. We haven't seen many deer lately--but as it gets cooler, I'm sure we will. Hugs, Betsy
What beautiful shots. They are such a peaceful animal. The habitat around Des Moines is so great that the whole area has an overpopulated population. It is nothing to see a deer along the freeway, or herds of them running across a back street of a housing development. Two rivers and timber just lets the herds get larger and larger. I would like to move into that area just because I would love to have deer. I would have to build fences too, I know. That blue of morning glories is so rich.
You certainly don't see that where we live!!! I would love to look out my kitchen window and see a few deer!!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful pieces of nature!!!
