My Little Pony.....

Toy horses are usually pink and plastic – and aimed at young girls ,
but this little pony is 100 per cent natural – and ready to make friends with anyone her size.

Going for a walk: Sam leads the way, followed by Bliss and her tiny new daughter.

Born ten days ago at a stud farm in the southern state of Victoria , Australia , the 15in miniature
horse is yet to be named, but has already formed a bond with Sam Leith, 12.

'It’s amazing to see a horse so tiny. She’s about the size of a week-old lamb.
'The horse is the smallest born at Riverdance and its arrival surprised even its breeder.'
We were told the mare wasn't due for another four weeks but on Sunday morning I walked outside and called her, and out ran the little foal behind her.'

Silver dun tovero in colour, she was given a clean bill of health – and should reach 24in when grown.
The birth has generated such excitement in the community that local people are entering a competition to give the horse a name.
Owner Lee Scown said she wanted a name that reflected the tiny, unique nature of the horse.
'It’s the smallest horse I’ve ever had and she’s so gorgeous,' Ms Scown said.

The horse, currently only a little taller than this book, is expected to grow to about 24 inches.

Thanks for sharing the new baby. We have horses like this is the southern part of our state, but I have never seen a young one. You have a wonderful collection of pictures on your main blog site.

Awww! I got to pet one once at a Petsmart. He tried to eat my shoe. Thanks for the smile!

I've never seen a new foal so friendly. I need to get one of those, but then it would probably be sleeping under my covers.

Where do you find these stories? So sweet--you could keep this little one inside! Kate names all her horses Rachel, so have to go with that.

How precious are these pictures!

A few years ago, I taught school out in the country. One day, the county began working on roads in the area near the school, which caused be to have to take a long route out of the way each day. It took almost a year for the roads to be repaired.

For that entire year, I had to pass by a beautiful English tudor-style home. They had a beautiful toy horse in their fenced, front yard. Every morning, it would be at the fence as I passed, as if to tell me, "Good morning." I looked forward to it each day and missed it when the year was over. The little horse cheered me up during a difficult year of teaching.

God truly works in the small things in our lives to show His great love.

Blessings to you.

Andrea

If you could keep them that size, wouldn't you want to keep them as an indoor pet? I would.
