June Days are upon us.
Heat and humidity are now a daily occurrence, followed by cooling, nightly pop-up storms.
The songbirds are raising their second clutch of babies.
Lightning bugs light up the night sky, and the sound of tree frogs fill the air.
The season's first garden-grown tomatoes are ripe for the picking, and those coveted sweet Vidalia onions are back in the stores.
A little bit of normalcy in an otherwise chaotic world.
"Mine is the Month of Roses; yes, and mine
The Month of Marriages! All pleasant sights
And scents, the fragrance of the blossoming vine,
The foliage of the valleys and the heights.
Mine are the longest days, the loveliest nights;
The mower's scythe makes music to my ear;
I am the mother of all dear delights;
I am the fairest daughter of the year."
~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Very lovely.
Jo, Your June looks to be coming in so beautifully. I love June's days and evenings best. Butterflies and bees too. Blessings and hugs, Susie
Lovely, peaceful photos.
Love these photos and always love Queen Anne's Lace! Happy June!
Ahhh, June...Longfellow understood and you aced it with your list of this
month's attributes, Jo. The pattern of each season has a way of balancing
the inconstancy out there. Your photos if it all are so lovely.
What beautiful flowers! The months seem to be passing too quickly. I haven't seen any lightning bugs here yet - - the nights have been unusually cool. It's wonderful to savor the delights of nature.
A chaotic world indeed.....
Oh these photos are so beautiful. The month of June is truly a favorite of mine and I am looking forward to these coming days. Take care and have a great week.
We both love our angels in the garden. Mine is just a little bit different than yours.
