We've had the strangest warm weather the past few days.
Here it is, the middle of December and the temperature reached a balmy 70 degrees today, folks were running around town, in shorts and flip-flops !This afternoon, I accomplished a little inside decorating.
Our tree is an Alpine Tree, tall and skinny, and doesn't require any furniture to be moved around.
The mantle is finished, except for a few dried orange slices and cinnamon sticks.
The Christmas crackers await eager hands
On the porch, the old wooden sleds have been decorated with boughs of fresh Cedar.
The birds have decided to make it their nightly roost.
'Tis the season for sharing...

Lovely decorations....it is getting closer to the big day for sure.
How very festive!
Peace and joy to you! Nellie
I love the simplicity of your beautiful decorations Jo! Have a very merry Christmas.
Just beautiful!
Hmmmm...the 70 degree December we had when I lived in TN was followed by several feet of January and February snows.
Your decorations are just perfect, but it does seem a bit strange for you to have such warm weather. Perhaps you'll still awake to a white Christmas, who knows? :-)
Pouring with rain in England Jo. Again!!!
But tomorrow is supposed to be drier, so although it will be very squishy underfoot I plan to go out and find some foliage and start the decorating.
Jo, Your home always seems so inviting. I love your fresh greenery. It is raining here in central Indiana today and that dreaded snow is on it's way. Merry Christmas to you and yours. xoxo,Susie
Jo,
It all looks wonderful. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
Merry Christmas, Jo. It looks so beautiful there. And, the cold is on its way there. A storm knocked down my power pole in the yard and blew down branches. The electric company came today for a new pole but it's too cold to get out and pick up the branches in my flip flops.
My goodness, your home looks lovely! So warm and inviting!
Your home is so beautiful with all the decorations!
love
