And The Rains Came
We have been deluged with rain today.
Cold, wind-driven rain, the ground is soaked, the creeks are overflowing their banks.
It has been the same here since Saturday , but there is sun in the forecast for the remainder of the week here for us still cold but sunny I can handle that . Lovely photos . Have a good evening !
We had lightning and thunder around 4:00 EST this morning, along with some rather heavy rain and wind. Our rain gauge measured 1 1/2 of rainfall today!
The days will begin to get longer after another week or so. It's hard to believe, isn't it? I usually notice the return of the light around the end of January. Until spring I'll stay bundled up in my winter clothes! :-)
We are suppose to have rain today in N. Florida, then turn cold. I am so ready for that. It just does not seem like Christmas with temps in the 80's and having to run the A.C. instead of the fireplace.

Winter is indeed on it's way. It was -6 last night, but warmed up to the low 30s today.
We received the rain here in central KY as well. And, then the sleet came through. Very cold here.
I know the rain is making the creeks swell, and I hope the creek stays where a creek should!

Oh no, we got none of the rain and our ponds are drying up. It is going to be a miserable 18 degrees tonight though, so old man winter has arrived.
I wish it would have been snow!
