Silence
The old wooden garden bench, half-crumbling away, sits silenty; with only a blanket of lichen as it's companion.

Cool old bench.
What a touching photograph of your garden bench, it's truly special.
It's like a time-peace, isn't it?
What a wonderful photo Jo; I just love it! It's beautiful in it's own special way.
I've seen this bench before. it's still just as beautiful in its decay... :-)
Although the bench doesn't beckon to be sat upon anymore like it once did, there is still a calm comfort that emanates from it.
the lichen has turned the bench into a work of art. so beautiful.
Love the shot. Alas, our garden bench has grown into "yard art," too, not longer safe to sit on. Jim

Beautiful color. I don't think I will sit down there.
Don't ever remove that lichen, it is too marvelous on that bench.
