Holding Stedfast

When temperatures hover around the one hundred mark, I'm grateful for flowers in pots.
Easily watered, and lush green foliage, unlike flowers in the garden, whose days of looking their best, have long since passed.

"He who is born with a silver spoon in his mouth is generally considered a fortunate person, but his good fortune is small compared to that of the happy mortal who enters this world with a passion for flowers in his soul."

Ah, yes, the potted flowers generally get better care. Beautiful geranium (?) by the way!

Such heat is never good for plants. Unless they are inside... lovely quote, Jo!

I love the quote and I am so drawn to white flowers.

We're about to make some changes in our flower beds one of which is to build a small platform for a new bird bath with space for potted plants around the base. Makes for less weeding and, as you say, the plants hold up better in the heat.

Even our container flowers are showing signs of stress because of the heat. I hope we get some relief soon. I like your beautiful white blossom (and the pot that it's in).

Oh, I do agree! Easy watering and right back inside with the A/C! When will this humidity end? ugh!
