Going "Home"

It snowed again last night, falling swiftly and silently, blanketing the landscape within an hour.
A driving, wet snow, with enormous snowflakes.
More of the same is predicted for tomorrow, is there no end ?

We buried a family member today, and yes, it was snowing.
The First Sergeant's cousin, who had suffered with health problems over the last few years.
A much-loved son, brother, and friend, whose time on earth was cut short at the young age of fifty eight.
A beautiful and heart-touching service, we sang hymns with only the accompaniment of our own voices, it lifted spirits.
Godspeed Douglas......

Thank you for all of the Oliver 'well-wishes'.
He continues to improve, and hopefully I will be bringing him home to recover further in the next day or two.
I've surely missed his furry ears and whiskers :)

It had to be a tough day for you two. The long illness are just as difficult as you keep hoping for something other than loss. Get better soon Oliver!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about the death in your family.
We've had snow flurries here off and on today, and I guess we, too, will have more tomorrow. I'm ready for Spring.
I'm glad Oliver will soon be home.

Sorry about the death in your family, Jo... It's always hard to bury a loved one who is so young. My prayers are with you and the family.

We didn't get much snow yesterday like you did--but they say all of us will get some tomorrow and Thurs... SO--I wonder if we'll get skipped again this time...?????

I know you will be glad to get Oliver home.
Hugs,
Betsy

It sounds like it was a lovely service.
I have to catch up what is going on with you.
Don't know what was/is wrong with Oliver so am going to go read.
And might I say that Oliver is one handsome fellow! Reminds me of my Mr. Smith ( who looks a lot like Oliver).
Hugs.
