Lately, I seem to have been spending endless hours in the company of me, myself and I.
I'm tired of gazing at brown landscapes, I'm tired of cold weather, I'm tired of Winter.
To add to the tawdriness my sweet Oliver cat, has been the victim of a cat attack, and is spending his days and nights confined to a local Veterinary Hospital, the only consolation being, he is in excellent hands.
I miss his presence.

Tea and crumpets HAS to make the day better! So sorry to hear about Oliver, I hope he is going to be okay... hugs to you.
If misery loves company, your "misery" must feel quite crowded!
Tea and buns will certainly chase away our winter blues! Lets cheer one another.
Oh Jo, I'm so sorry about Oliver... Was this a neighbor cat that you knew about???? Poor Oliver.
I guess all of us are getting sick of winter... BUT--it's not over yet, so we might as well just relax and 'enjoy' it..... ha
Hugs,
Betsy
If tea and buns can't do the job, nothing can.
Sorry to hear about Oliver. I to hope he will be okay ! I to have had enough of winter, come on spring!Your photos are lovely. Is that scones with blue berry jam and a cup of tea mmmmm yummy ! Try to have a good day !

Jo so sorry to hear about poor Oliver's injuries. Hope he's home soon so you can give him lots of love and TLC. This has really been a miserable winter for everyone, including Florida. Sending you lots of hugs!!!
Tea and buns sound nice...a prayer for Oliver the cat that...he will be well enough to come home soon.
Aww Jo I'm sorry to read about your Oliver. I hope he recovers quickly at the vets so he can be home again with you soon. I never thought I'd get attached to a cat again but our Oliver the 'barn' cat has won us over. He's just the sweetest fellow and I can't imagine him not being here to keep us company. Your scones and clotted cream look delicious...brings back memories of my trip through Devon. I hope the snow coming later this week misses you and spring comes early. Take care.

Yes, I concur. Winter is the bane of my existance. Hope dear kitty is healing. Why do they act so ferocious to each other... I joined Weight Watchers and lost 7 pounds but am certain I have gained them all back this past week and a half housebound and all. And, another snow storm is coming mid-week. Drat.
I'm so sorry about your kitty. I know just how you feel. My Charlie was attacked a few months ago and although he did quite well at first, his two bites abscessed and became a terrible mess. Even the vet was surprised by the extent of his wounds. After two weeks of antibiotics, pain killers, daily washings, a cone on his head, and lots of TLC, he quickly healed. The vet and I were both amazed at how quickly his gaping sores closed up. She actually thought he would need surgery. Anyways, he is on the mend, hair is growing back and he's as ornery as ever. Be of good cheer ~ they have an amazing ability to recover and will soon be back with you. Until then ~ hang on.

How awful for Oliver and for you Jo as I know how worried you must be. Doesn't help one's spirits when it is dreary outside and all this is going on, but tea and buns will help. Heading for the teapot as soon as I have sent this to you. I do hope it won't be long before Oliver is nestled at your side. My 'Oliver' - Binkey - got into a fight with what I can only describe as a very large rat the vet thought at the time. It must have been a real war. Another memory from childhood.
Jo, I am so worried about Oliver. Please keep us updated on his recovery. I have seen cat fights that get out of control. I expect it was another male. I'm so sorry for you and him and will pray for a quick recovery. I've had it with winter too.Bring on Spring! Hugs to you and I envelope Oliver with my love. Deb=^..^=x5
So sorry to hear about Oliver! I do hope he'll be okay Jo; modern medicine is wonderful but I'll send prayers anyway.
Tea and buns on lovely china will certainly help but I hear you about the bleak landscape. That's why I love evergreen trees in all their variety.
I'm so sorry to hear of Oliver's injuries and hope he is able to come home to you soon. Cindy is right, cats heal quickly. Hope the other cat is long gone, too.
Big hugs!
Oh, I'm sorry to hear about Oliver. He's such a neat looking cat. I hope that he's home soon, and, that, if he's a purrer, the sound of that purr fills the house.
I am so sorry to hear about Oliver. I hope he gets better soon. You always put out a great tea and goodies to eat. I may have to make some tea now.
Oh that's terrible, poor Oliver. I hope he didn't start the fight? Anyway, he's suffering bigtime now, isn't he and so are you, poor thing. I am sending you my best wishes for a spring day and a get well hug for Oliver.
So sorry about poor Oliver.
Both pictures beautifully done !
Oh how I would love to share a sit by the fire and cup of tea. My best to you and Oliver both.
Ps I'm sick of dreary too.
That's awful about your cat. Hope dear Oliver improves and comes home to you quickly.
Thanks for the lovely table of goodies. Your dishes are pretty. Tea and buns..yum! And good company here too!
I have been sharing the same company on these long winter days.
