May Days

A glorious mid-spring morning starts our day. Blues skies and sunshine aplenty.
I have Mother's day plants to get in the ground, so trying to hurry before the rain comes our way tomorrow.
The distant sound of lawnmowers whirling is the only disruption to an otherwise peaceful respite.

Lovely photograph. One never escapes the sounds of busy lawnmowers.

Lovely! We just today went out to the nursery so my husband could buy me some "Mothers' Day" flowers for the garden (I am Mother of Cats, you know)... it was a rainy day today, which means we had the whole nursery to ourselves! Very pleasant and cool, and I got some pretty plants.

As always, a beautiful post. Hope you got all your plants in the ground. We are finally getting some pretty weather that really feels like May.

Jo, it's good to hear from you. I had my grandkids over today helping me plant new grass and weed the garden. It was wonderful to have them with me. The littles give me great joy. I lost my two weenie girls, Emmy and Sister over a year ago and still miss them dearly but haven't replaced them. It is a new world for me. Not the one I planned but the one I have. Take care, dear.
