Bloomin' Lovely

The Lavender is in bloom, I've tied bunches with garden string and hung from the herb rack to dry.
The smell is intoxicating.
We've had more than our share of rainfall this Spring, and the flowers are showing their gratitude for it.

The lightning bugs have returned,  a definite sign that Summer is just around the corner.
Almost June.....where do the weeks go...

It's a wonderful time of the year. So much colour in the garden.

I dried some big bunches of lavender last year and have just used them to store some vintage curtains. I really must make some lavender shortbread with this year's harvest.

Your photos prove how your rains have helped everything. I love the purple flowers. I use to have a white sink like that in my basement of my old house. I have never grown lavender but I am thinking our climate just doesn't help with that. You are having such a beautiful spring. It was a long white winter.
