A Cup of Tea
When the world is all at odds
And the mind is all at sea
Then cease the useless tedium
And brew a cup of tea.
There is magic in its' fragrance,
There is solace in its' taste;
And then laden moments vanish
Somehow into space.
And the world becomes a lovely thing!
There's beauty as you'll see;
All because you briefly stopped
To brew a cup of tea.

Just to sit down and take time for oneself. It is warm and good. Sometimes a biscuit or cookie or two and life seems better.

Ha! my same thoughs with the world at odds. So I am enjoying a cup of tea. Love the poem
It's always good to stop for a cup of tea, it's not often I refuse one - it's more than just a drink.
I put the brakes on for tea often. Love this post. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x4
Can't get enough tea, especially in our cold weather here at the moment. Hot chocolate at night too.
I love that poem! Who wrote it and do you mind if I use it on another blog that I manage? (I will link back to your blog if you are the author) So lovely!!

I love coffee and tea. But tea is an entirely different experience than coffee. It is more of a relaxing ritual, as the poem reflects, most calming and traditional.
Oh, I just love this poem! I've never seen it before! How cozy it is paired with your photo. I'm going to forward it to all my tea-drinking friends. :)
:) I used to start my Tea Talk Recitations with that very poem!!!
