Woolly Socks And Flip-Flops

We've been gifted with glorious Autumn weather these past two weeks, warm balmy days, and cool window-opening nights.
It's the time of year, when you step outside in the morning wearing your woolly socks and warm jacket, and by late afternoon, you've returned to your flip-flops and short-sleeved shirt.

Even the house takes on a different hue of color, orange, offering a warm and inviting glow to nestle inside by candlelight for the evening,

So are the days of changing seasons ..............

The snoozing Mr. Oliver is the best touch of orange! I have been known to wear socks with my flip flops in the cool mornings til it warms up. My daughter says I'm a fashion disaster!!!!

Hi Jo, I know you are loving the changing seasons after the summer we had. My daughter just returned from a wonderful trip to England, tracing the Cherokee trip to England in the 1800's. She saw such great places and things, but she said she believed that "mucking the Thames" was her favorite adventure.

For me the first sign of fall is a hankering for a hot bowl of soup. And fuzzy socks WITH flip flops or sandals is practically a uniform here on Vancouver Island!

I agree that Oliver is the best orange there is.

Yes, lovely colours of autumn and you've even got the orange cat to go with it! I hope you don't mind? but I've swiped your picture of the Tennessee ground for my Blog. Is that ok? Let me know if not. Thanks.

We're also enjoying the cooler nights, although it still gets quite warm working in the yard during the day. I'm glad to see you've included Tennesssee Vol orange in your post.

As much as I hate to say goodbye to summer I do so enjoy this season and the Halloween decorations are always so much fun.

I think your home looks wonderfully warm and cozy. I can almost smell the aroma of apple cider and oatmeal cookies. Oliver is quite content methinks .. at first, I mistook him for a pumpkin!

Yes, even the kitty is orange and don't they feel so good right up by a fireplace sleeping in your lap! Ahhhhh that's comfort!
