Tying The Knot

Donning my pearls for a special occasion.

This weekend The First Sergeant and myself are guests at a dear friend's daughter's wedding.
Is there anything sweeter than a simple, country style wedding, surrounded by all things good in life, friendship, food and fellowship.....

Simple yet elegant, the wedding theme is the perfect combination of Southern charm and romance.

Our congratulations to the gorgeous bride and handsome groom, we wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

"Come, let's be a comfortable couple and take care of each other! How glad we shall be, that we have somebody we are fond of always, to talk to and sit with. "

My sweetheart and I got married in the fall (our anniversary was just a few days ago) and I think it's the perfect time for getting married. A warm autumn evening, family and friends, good food, music, flowers and fairy lights - it was magic. I hope your bride and groom have a perfect day, and a lifetime of joy.

Your post is so sweet and I love the quote by Charles Dickens.
Best wishes to the bride and groom.
My husband and I just celebrated our 43 anniversay on the 10th. Heaven only knows how he put up with me so long.

Looks like it was a picture perfect country wedding. Papa and I were married in our back yard in August under our arbor with our gardens in the background and a horse shoe hung above us with friends and family and had a simple country western theme ! Wonderful photos. Have a nice eve.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...so breathtaking and refreshingly a moment to lift my head, close my eyes, extend my neck, breathe in with great intention and inhale your world for just a moment through your post. Awwwwwwwww...I love it!

I Guess it's not the words, nor where you say the words, nor even candles and flowers. But the devotion to one another That binds two hearts together. Through sunshine and through storms.

Jo, that does look so wonderful. Sublime photos. :)

BTW, wanted to tell you that I am closing Hot Toast and Jam so thought you might enjoy its last post.

I will still be visiting just not as much (as if I have been that frequent anyway) as one might expect when hosting a personal blog, verses an art one.

Let me just say then, thank you for your support along the way and here's wishing you the best until we chat again.

P.S. Absolutely smashing about the Telegraph blog list. You so deserve it. And to think I read the Telegraph pretty much every day, so it has extra meaning to me.
