Garden Chores

I've spent the last few days enjoying the unseasonably warm weather.
81 degrees on the outside thermometer, perfect for finishing those late Autumn garden chores.
Flower pots and gardening tools have been stacked away in the potting shed, seeds have been gathered from the fading blooms, and perennials mulched to protect against the winter freezes.

"Spring flowers are long since gone.
Summer's bloom hangs limp on every terrace.
The gardener's feet drag a bit on the dusty path and the hinge in his back is full of creaks."-

Lovely photo.
Papa and I did just that this past weekend raked leaves and finished up clearing the gardens and tucked the garden tools away in my potting shed. Have a wonderful eve.

What a lovely still life! I'm actually still picking tomatoes! We're cold and night and warm in the day.

You are always amazing me with the temperatures you have. That's downright HOT, if you ask me. Wonderful to get all those last minutes chores done.

I'm glad you're having some nice warm weather down there, we've had nice days but not so hot. I've enjoyed them though.

I did something very similar this weekend. Only my chores consisted of moving all of my gardening stuff out of the garage and into the storage shed in back. I know it's well on the way to Winter when the care goes back in the garage to live.
