The little Carolina Wren is busy gathering food to feed her babies.
There seems to be four of them, I'm afraid if I get much closer they will panic, and fledge the nest before their time.
When they hear moma bird approaching, four little yellow beaks are all you can see.
I can't for the life of me figure out how she knows which one has been fed and which one is next.

How adorable. Many of my blogging friends are watching birds hatch and fledge.
Fun to watch, I'm sure!
You are right to be careful around the babies, Jo. I have had them falling around me while trying to evade the cats and place them back in their nest. Jenny Wren is my favorite.
Cute, we don't have them here !
very very sweet, big hugh Kathrin
I love finding blogs like yours. Someone who knows how to use a camera, giving me a real taste of the land I miss so much!

Wonderful shots Jo! It seems this is the time for lots of baby birds.
I love it. around my yard the birds are falling out of the trees.
So far Blue jays and Mocking birds.
Really. I have some pics.
LOL, I hadn't thought about mama bird knowing who's been fed, and who hasn't! Maybe the one with his beak opened the most?
so precious and I love the post title, perfect
Sweet!
We were hoping for wren's this year but they moved on.

You have a sweet house and wren. We don't have the Carolina wren but we have a few that I can hear singing.
