The weather has warmed.
The sunshine on my face, feels friendly once again.
There is lots of work to do around the garden, planting, raking , scrubbing, and banishing all signs of Winter.
It's a time of rejuvenation, I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and report for duty.
March
The cock is crowing,
The stream is flowing,
The small birds twitter,
The lake doth glitter
The green field sleeps in the sun;
The oldest and youngest
Are at work with the strongest;
The cattle are grazing,
Their heads never raising;
There are forty feeding like one!
Like an army defeated
The snow hath retreated,
And now doth fare ill
On the top of the bare hill;
The plowboy is whooping—anon-anon:
There's joy in the mountains;
There's life in the fountains;
Small clouds are sailing,
Blue sky prevailing;
The rain is over and gone!
~William Wordsworth

I see you are busy in your beautiful garden! What great pictures!!
I'm right behind you! Yeah Spring!
Sunny :)
I remember this poem from my school days,it is a very apt poem for this time of year.
We have spring in the air,sun,a little warmth at last and the daffs are coming out to bring some colour to the garden.
As for the spring cleaning,I had great plans,but have not got round to any of them yet !!
Ah yes, lots of clean up work in the garden now. The strong winds we have had lately have filled the garden with little twigs, leaves and general messiness. Time to get to work, yet at the same time it is so much fun to clean up and tend to all the new shoots waking up after the long winter.

I am not a gardener so my eyes went right to the chair. I love old furniture and old things. I will leave the gardening to you and others for me to enjoy. My husband is the green thumb here, but i do so love looking at what the toil brings to my camera.
In between the showers, the birds are still singing in this little corner of England. And my tete a tete narcissi are chattering away to each other out the front.
Beautiful post. Deb
Your pics are so nice...just luv 'em.
Blessings to you and may you have a great week,

I've been enjoying your photographs for quite some time but your Wordsworth poem really caught my attention. I recently posted a book review of The Grave Tattoo set in the Lake District and centered around the works of William Wordworth. I enjoyed the book so much and it made me want to reacquaint myself with Wordsworth's poetry. Thanks for this wonderful poem. I can't wait to research more.
It's cold and rainy here today, but it sure was wonderful to work in our yard and garden yesterday. I sure like Spring!
Have fun in your garden! A bit too soon for any gardening here. Soon though!
Happy Spring!
We have had hail, wind and hard rain today. Sunshine is coming soon.
