March Days
It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot
and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light,
As a child my mother always said that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.I remember March being very windy,I suppose that was what she meant. Here,it is calm, very frosty in the mornings, but the sun has a little warmth to it by mid day, then a return to frost again in the evening. I love the picture and the quote,it is very apt.
I'm so grateful I found your blog. It was a delight to gingerly scroll through it, reading and stopping to take in the sites! I am from the Chattanooga, TN area.
the poem fits our day perfectly today. we woke up to 42 degrees and the sun is shining so bright it hurts my eyes. In the shade it is very cool but in the sun it is hot summer time.

You've given us a beautiful picture which is very appropriate for March. I really like the Dickens quote.
Described so perfectly..
What a beautiful quote and photo, I love March.
What a beautiful photograph.
Beautiful picture, Jo... We did enjoy the sunshine today --but that wind is still cold... It's supposed to warm up gradually all weekend. Yeah!!!!
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh what a perfect description of this fickle time of year !
Great Site. Was added to mybookmarks. Greetings From USA.
We have clear skies and frost this morning, and yesterday was like that: warm in the sun and chilly in the shade. Very nice quote from Dickins.
That certainly describes weather in Idaho yesterday. That's a lovely photo. So serene, so peaceful.
Love,

It is still to cold for me, if that wind will ever stop I could sit out in the sun.

Lovely picture and an apt description of today here in Virginia.
Cheers!
It is a nice quote. You find and keep the neatest quotes.
Great shot, could almost be over here in Ireland with all that green,
Waiting for those days to get up here to Iowa! We are beginning to lose our snow but it will take time.
I join the rest in complimenting you on finding your quotes. I may be putting them on some bulletin boards at school.
Take care.
