"October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came-
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band."
~ October's Party, George Cooper.

Such beautiful reds. We didn't seem to have a lot of the vivid reds this year. The colors have all but gone by in our area, time to get the rake out!
No apology needed, great minds think alike!
Sunny :)
What a gorgeous tree. I haven't seen anything this vibrant up here.
Thanks Jo! Since I missed the leaves of the mountains this year, it is so wonderful to see all the bloggers from there posting great pictures! :)
The red leaves are my favorite. I like how green you are still and the leaves contrast with it so well.
Absolutely gorgeous shot, here in Virginia I am stll waiting for the leaves to turn.
Great poem. Thanks for finding it and sharing it with us. I love the photo too. Very colorful.
Wush our trees put on a show like that!
Superb!
...what an absolutley lovely blog...i stumbled upon you and do not want to go home...hug your husband for this proud american ...and then tell him to hug his wife...he found a gem...blessings
LOVE red leaves! This shot was wonderful!
Just beautiful. Sadly, here on the Gold Coast our trees are green all year round, oh we do have a frangipani which loses all the leaves in Winter. When I was much younger and living in the UK, I loved to tread on the fallen autumn leaves and hear the crunch beneath my feet♥ Happy days!
Gorgeous colours on that tree and a great blog - I shall put it on my must-visit list!
Fall is just beautiful here right. I love it. Can do without some of the rain but it is a nice fall.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing the poem.
Oh...love that poem. I've actually never heard that one. That photograph is perfectly paired with it!
