The Nesting Season.

I was walking around the garden yesterday, sadly everything is in the stages of hibernation.
There is still color, red, orange, and lots of brown.
It's a time to start nesting, nature's way of slowing down.....

The Autumn scents candle puts a grin on the face of even the spookiest of characters.

The gourds and pumpkins are on display.
Looking out of the window, for the herd of resident deer.
Chrysanthemums brighten up the porch.

You have a beautiful home. I really like your table decoration. We have handled fall so many times but it is still hard to see it all go away.

After seeing the begining of autumn in England my family are enjoying the first autumn we have spent here in the States....rather good fun it is indeed.

The clocks have gone back here in the UK. The evenings are dark, the trees are almost bare and we are just waiting for a frost to see off the remains of the summer flowers. You are so right about hibernating!

Beautiful post, Jo. I love this time of year. I even enjoy seeing the leaves fall --like rain... There's a particular smell this time of year which I also like.

We had 3 deer in our yard early this morning. So pretty!!!!!

Thanks for a nice post --and for making me smile.
Hugs,
Betsy

I am always struck by your very unique eye that captures these moods through the camera, and then you share them with us! I love the picket fence. And yes, it's that time, isn't it? I'm getting ready to start knitting again.

Autumn has already kicked in where I live. All those nice read, orange and brown leaves are falling off the trees. We have high gusting winds today, and as I walked out the front door this morning I had a cloud of leaves blowing towards me from the left. Just great. Thanks a lot. I clear my yard of leaves then I get all my lazy neighbours leaves piled up in my yard because Im at the end of the dead end road.
Its a shame the colours cant last for the season - and the leaves stay ON the trees.

Lovely fall pictures. We don't have a real fall in Florida. It's nice of you to share yours.
