Nary a goodbye wave, nor forwarding address; Larry, Daryl and Daryl ventured out into the big
wide world today.
The last I saw of them, they were flying awkwardly across the new Spring grass, their mum screaming frantically behind.
I could have swore I saw her covering her eyes, with her wing !
Stay safe my little friends .........

Sorry they are gone---but another bunch will come in soon!!!!!
I read that Robins raise 3 broods a year---so I'm sure they will be back...
How neat that you got to see them!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Your description is adorable. Love the vacancy sign!
Ahh I bet you feel really motherly towards those baby birds yourself, Jo. I do hope they have a good life and don't come to grief. Thanks for sharing that lovely experience with us.
Blessings, Star
How sweet of you to put out the vacancy sign.I am sure they will come.
Patsy
so sorry for you they're gone! Hope that some other birdies will take their place!
Oh they all have to go sometime, don't they! Maybe you will find new renters soon!
Hugs
Grand story... thanks!
Not even a goodbye? I found a nest full of little chickadees today. They look as if they'll be gone by tomorrow or so. I think we were both shocked to see each other. The mother robin will probably use the same next again.
It's always so sad when babies leave the nest... the sign made me laugh though LOL

Good luck to Larry, Daryl & his other brother Daryl
And 'my' birdies are just beginning to build their new homes, or do home improvements on the old ones!
Please drop by my place and pick up something I've left for you!
Awww how wonderful that they were ready to spread their wings Jo. And that is one fabulous piccie LOL!
