King Charles III will be crowned alongside Camilla, the Queen Consort this coming Saturday May 6th, at Westminster Abbey in London.
Throughout Great Britain and many other countries, there are thousands of street parties, parades, and much merriment afoot, in the celebrating .
I will be joining in the celebrations albeit from afar, my Union Jack flying, the teapot readied.
Three cheers: Hip, Hip, Hooray, Hip, Hip, Hooray, Hip Hip Hooray !

I'm happy that Charles will finally be crowned King. I loved Queen Elizabeth and thought she was a fantastic Queen... but I did wonder if Charles' time would ever come. With my dad and his family from London, I have tried to keep up with the goings on. Enjoy your celebrations! Perhaps when DH and I have our tea/coffee on Saturday, we will toast King Charles.
Joining all in spirit on this wonderful occasion.
To honor beloved, late Queen, Earl Grey tea and
orange marmalade cake included. Hip-hip hooray, indeed....
I will definitely be watching the Coronation. It's an historic and once-in-a-lifetime event. It's still difficult to believe that Queen Elizabeth is gone.
I'm going to be watching for sure. I love all that pomp and circumstance. I'm always amazed at how everything is timed out to the second and nothing seems to ever go awry.
I'll be away from home during the proceedings but I'm sure even here we will be seeing it for days on the news.
Long live the King
I hope you have a spiffing time.
Wonderful time of celebration!!! xx
I will be a marvelous day and a new King is a great deal. Enjoy they day starting very early for you.
I loved the Queen and miss her terribly. But I am excited that Charles is finally becoming king. I will be watching the coronation on Britbox and sipping my tea. Eating my Walker's shortbread too. I'm so excited.
It was a fabulous Coronation weekend.
Our family enjoyed it, although Saturday and Monday were rather wet!
All the best Jan
