Golden Meadows

Drive along any country road in Middle Tennessee during the month of May, and you can't help but notice the fields are covered in yellow flowers.

The Meadow Buttercup ( Ranunculus acris ) is gathered for it's annual parade, it's bright, waxy petals, waving in the spring breezes for all who care to enjoy.

Ok, I know this is an usual question. I am trying to remember the tiny little American lady who bought up her family on a farm, I think with only the basics. She became quite famous for her love of her animals and simple life. She also wrote childrens books. Long skirts, tiny frame . It is driving me nuts that I can’t recall her name as I wish to read about her. Can you recall who she was.

Love your blog, an Australian with an English heritage who loves Uk and has visited many times.
Take care.

Hi Anne, thank you for your kind words and welcome. The lady is Tasha Tudor, and I"m a fan of hers also.

Just beautiful! I've got some lovely memories of my years living in TN... before they built housing complexes all over the beautiful fields surrounding my house...
