Iced Over

If given the option, I would have chosen snow.
Soft, white flakes blanketing the ground.
Instead, we are covered in ice.
Trees, houses, vehicles, bird-feeders.
No snowballs today.

You live in a true winter wonderland. Beautiful photos

The ice is beautiful... but more dangerous for trees and roads.

Beautiful photos but I know the dangers of ice. We are always knocking down icicles as they could seriously hurt someone. We have more sunshine today, it is a great blessing. Good hearing that Edna is getting better each day. I sent her a calendar and forgot to say it was from me. Oh the absentminded brain some days. Have a lovely rest of your week.

Love the icicles hanging off the bird feeders. But, like you, I'd rather have snow than ice any day.

Wow, that's quite an ice storm! Your photos are beautiful, though. We are covered in ice also, but thankfully a lot of ours fell as sleet. We are anxiously awaiting its disappearance, but it didn't happen today.

I saw the weather map and really did get hit with the big ice storm. I agree that snow is better and the ice can bring down branches and it is horrible to have the roads covered with it.

As beautiful as the scene is, it also looks very, very scary. I hope you are staying home safe and sound.
