Our days have quickly gone from cool Spring weather to hot, humid and dry.
The trees are beginning to lose their leaves.
Keeping flowers watered in ninety degrees is a challenge in itself.
The Columbine seems to love the heat.
I've offered it my portion....

I can't believe you have such high heat. We warmed up today for the first time since cold damp weather. Your columbine looks good in the pot. Mine has seeded all over and I guess I should have potted it.
We are still experiencing below normal temperatures, which can continue as far as I'm concerned. I just worry about the bees, which don't come out when it's cold. Now that heat sounds awful to me, since I'm now a Pacific Northwestern flower. :-)
It went from cool to hot here as well. Stay cool. Hotter than a pepper sprout...now the song is stuck in my head.
I have a dark purple columbine that almost looks black and it is loving this weather. We are having a heat wave now and we just got done with a cold spring. Not normal.
I agree this weather is not normal... having a really cool spring here in Texas, but may go to the triple digits any day now... not looking forward to that.
Beautiful flowers.

Still in the sixties here in NY... we had one day in the eighties last week, but it cooled right back down again. My columbine are blooming now, too - seems they like both hot and cold, eh?

Were up in the 90s as well. Could use some rain but I love it. I really dislike the cold long winters up north
