February Days

The rain has finally stopped.
Our state has endured the most rainfall on record in the past 139 years for the month of February, rivers are out of their banks, livestock has been moved to higher ground.
The grass is growing at a crazy rate, the little toad house has been occupied more than once this rainy season, the frogs are happy....

Sounds like you will enjoy a lush and green spring! We are still getting snow ~ Friday we had 4 to 5 inches, but later this week temp's will be in the low 60s. Typical roller coaster weather for us.....

Jo, I am glad the rain has stopped. I have worried about flooding where the rains have been so heavy. We have had the highest wind I can remember. Since the wee hours ...all day long. Finally the sun did shine some. Blessings, hope you are feeling better. xoxo, Susie

Glad things are improving for you. It can be depressing to have continuous grey & dreek days. The benefits will come with the lush greenery you get.
No rain here in the UK oddly & no snow or ice but lots of sunshine & quite warm weather for February. Odd unseasonal weather!

Nice the toads have that lovely little house you got them.

It's good news that the rain has finally stopped. I'm glad to hear that the livestock have been moved to higher ground. I worry so about how all the animals manage during the wicked flooding.

I just love your little Toad House. I don't think I've ever seen a frog in my yard. Actually, it's been quite a while since I've seen a frog anywhere!

Today we're having storm warnings till tonight. The wind is a bit brisk today. I'll be busy indoors though, so no problem. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Our rain has stopped too and the sun is out today but those high winds are terrible. The weatherman said this morning that we have had rain for nine straight days. I'm not complaining about any of it today. I'm so thankful for the sun. Jo, I found that pretty awning top for the playhouse (the link you sent) and was so excited until Poppy asked, what about the tree that grows up through the floor? We may have to cut the tree. Thank you for thinking of me.

Yes my friends in Paducah Kentucky said and I seen online where all the flood gates are closed and Metropolis Ill across the river is flooded also.
Seems it's this way a lot anymore for river towns, even here in Missouri it happens from time to time.

Hopefully we will all have a pretty spring
