Autumn's First Freeze

I awoke in the middle of the night, to an unfamiliar sound........rain.
Finally, the rain gods have heard our plea, and after weeks of dry, hot, weather, a gentle rain fell for close to two hours.
Moisture of any kind is a welcome relief, although sadly tonight, it changes from the wet variety, to the frozen kind........

Yes, our first freeze last night. Will miss all my flowers and plants, but let's hope the winter goes by quickly.

I hear that cold front is headed our way. I hope there is no snow attached to it though. But moisture of any kind is sorely needed.

We barely got a sprinkle in Middle TN. Glad you got some rain though. Dianne

Jo, The wind howled in the night here and today is winter. 38 degrees and cold with snow flurries every now and then. Glad you got the rain you've been needing. Blessings for a lovely evening and great Sunday. xoxo, Susie

I'm so glad you got some rain. We are still getting plenty but none of the white stuff... yet. :-)

I am so glad you got the rain. It looks like it was really pouring down. Our rain like that would turn into an ice storm if it were happening. With our cold weather becoming normally very cold I bet your weather will straighten out.

Your Tennessee weather seems to mirror our Arkansas weather. I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Bonnie

It looks as if it is raining cats and dogs, but for you this will be like music in the ears. I may not complain we had a nice and calm autumn until now. At this moment we have the first real November storm with plenty of rain too.
