Double Trouble

There has been a tiny kitten, showing up on the porch. A grey and white bundle of fur, no more than a few months old.
I've tried to coax it to stay awhile, but once it feels threatened, off it goes.
The neighbors are not familiar with it, so I'm wondering if it's a little feral and homeless.

The First Sergeant set the humane trap, thinking if it is a hungry little kitten, it will partake of the food, instead when we checked the trap, this is what was inside.
Twin banditos.......

Oh boy, do they look worried. I bet they won't be back. Hope you do get the little kitten. It is so dangerous for them out with the wild-life. Hugs, Deb

Can I ask why you would put bananas out for a cat?

A Brit in Tennessee said...

Deb, the bananas were given to the raccoons.

I have two raccoons that have moved into the eaves of my shed again. Removed some last year. Sure wish I could catch them together so I could relocate them as a pair instead of separately. I have read you have to take them at least 10 miles away or they come back. It is illegal to relocate them here in Ohio, but I do it anyways, taking them out to the country where there are less people.

They do look worried, all right. And not very old themselves, do you think? :-)

Hi Jo,

Wow, I bet this was a surprise for all concerned! :) Banditos is exactly right! Little kittens are charming, but raccoons, not so much. I used to think they were cute as a child, but as an adult, I view them quite differently. They can be quite aggressive and have on two occasions carried off our bird feeders during the night. We now bring the feeders inside every night. I hope you didn't get bitten when you released them.

Enjoyed this post, and I have to admit they look really cute in your picture. :) Have a wonderful week!

Hugs,

Denise

Oh, another kitten. Hope he stays with you. The raccoons are so cute. How sweet of you to feed them. We use a trap like yours and my husband releases anything that gets trapped. He does carry it away from our yard.

Ha Ha!

I watched a momma raccoon munch her way through the contents of three cat bowls on my neighbor's porch the other day. She was quite unperturbed by me talking to her through the window!

That is too much. I have a mother coon that I would like to ship out of town. I hope the kitten shows up again. My wife feeds about four feral cats in our town on our back porch. They just won't tame.

OH NO! Those must be the Banditos that we caught last year! They made a break for it and headed west the last time we caught sight of them. They must have vamoosed to your neck of the woods, be careful, those adorable faces are deceiving, these are dangerous hombres!
