Summer Rain

We had rain today, a gentle-falling rain, the kind where you can use an umbrella without fear of it being turned inside out.
If you listened carefully you could hear the trees and flowers, heaving a big sigh of relief, their roots and foliage drinking in every last drop of moisture.

We had a really nice rain here in N.C. this week too, Jo. So nice to have a steady, moderate rain which can soak into the ground rather than one of the pounding, gully-washers like we often get in the summer. :) I love your pretty outdoor pictures -- hope you have a lovely weekend.

Hugs,

Denise

Beautiful flowers! I've loved this summer rain! We are far behind in rainfall for the year, and can use all that will come our way!

Thank you for more lovely flower photos. My favourite? The birdbath full of little mauve flowers - such an imaginative shot.

We've got the possibility of rain, too, after weeks of constant sunshine. It feels nice. Love your pretty pictures. :-)

I am glad the much needed rain arrived. Your gardens are so beautiful. We are so much later than you in growth. I have yet to see a morning glory. Great post of photos along with a photo of my favorite cat.
