And The Rains Came
The earth is soaked
from two days of rainfall, and more predicted.
Not a good start for all those newly planted Spring-gardens.
We have still not had enough dry days to dry the garden spot sufficiently for tilling!:-( My husband is becoming a bit anxious.:-) We did plant some flowers earlier in the week.
Isn't everything so very green now! What a difference a week can make when I look out my window. And I love the cool weather here in Nashville that has made our spring flowers and bushes last so long this year. Having been gone a week the last two years I promised myself I'd stay home this year and enjoy the beauty.
Jo I hope you didn't get the freezing temps we got. Set record for cold and snowflakes too. Hottest, driest summers and now coldest spring. Wonder if anyone still doesn't believe in global warming.
Hopefully the gardens will drink it all up and thrive. Too much I know can be disastrous to the garden's new plants. We had some rain last week and the gardens were greener and more vibrant than I have seen them, the last week the weather has been sunny.

I watched the Kentucky Derby today, and it was mud, so I have a feel for how much rain you have. Glad the flowers are happy.
It will stop one of these days, won't it? We have been without our usual rain for more than a week now. You must be getting it all! :-)
