Silent And Soft

Out of the bosom of the air,
Out of the cloudfolds of her garment shaken,
Over the woodlands, brown and bare
Over the harvest-fields forsaken,
Silent, and soft, and slow
Descends the snow.

~~By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.~~

That is exactly how it is falling here. All day long and not letting up. Stay warm.

What a lovely poem. At the moment, we are having plenty of the silent snow ;o)I must say, the view is breathtaking!

Great picture, Jo. We have snow tonight also. There's about 1-2 inches out there --and it's still coming down. So pretty.
Hugs,
Betsy

It started snowing here about dark. I don't think we'll actually get very much, but it was coming down hard. I like your picture.

I heard from my KY friends that you had snow. So pretty when it's quiet like that. Enjoy while you can.

No snow here - only cold and sunny which makes a change from mild and grey. Nice to see some blue sky and sun.

Great Photo...thanks for sharing these.

I am quite impressed with your blog and your ability to so eloquently meld these Impeccable Photos with their "Soul Mate Caliber" quotes.

Just in case I have been negligent and have failed to introduce myself...Hello I am Grace...and it's nice to meet you.

(And if perchance I have already introduced myself, please forgive the redundancy lol. My husband and I are both teachers and thus there are Approximately 14.9 Billion Names stores in my head.

Ergo it is best to come clean, confess that after a couple of decades of teaching I have been known to sometimes lose track of names. So, if I have already introduced myself to you, please don't think me daft...losing names is just an occupational hazard of veteran teachers lol.

Again, Thank You for Sharing your Blog-Artistry. I am relatively new to blogging and am enjoying being mesmerized by blogs such as yours.

I will be visiting again soon:)

In Him,
Grace

This is a wonderful photo of the snowing and the geese tolerating it.
