The rain was needed, the other elements we can do without.
This is our first rain of the month, the sticky, yellow pollen now washed clean from everything it befelled.
The first of the trees were planted in the garden, the rest will have to wait their turn, until the storm clouds play themselves out.
I puddle up the neighborhood
I make the postman mad
I wake the worm and spank the frog
Sleeping on his lily pad
And when the tulips in their beds
Nod happily, it's true,
I shake the petals of their hands

Great pictures, but those are certainly daunting clouds you have there!! I hope the clouds like the pollen goes away!!

I saw some big tornadoes came through today, I just watched the weather and it looked bad! But you did get the pollen washed away, that's good!
We had storms here too Jo but as far as I know no tornados hit down in our county here in Kansas. Great pictures and I love the poem too! Hope you get some sunshine tomorrow so you can finish planting. Take care and stay safe. Maura

the storm you had yesterday is moving our way, we need rain desparately but I do hope those beautiful black clouds do not hover over us and the winds can stay away to. seems we always have to get the bad to get the good, in storms and in life. The boot photo is priceless in my book. Love it.

The storms pretty much wiped out the day for the festival in Franklin, we spent the day in our hotel clicking away on the computer keys. But, today the sun should be shining....sort of... I hope....

Up here in Iowa we get our share of tornados, too, and they are not any fun.
Those low hanging dark clouds certainly look remarkable but when you seem them you want to be cautious!

I do hope you got through the night unscathed? We had thunderstorms too and lots of rain, while we were sleeping and woke up to a moat around the apartment block.

I can't believe it's tornado season already. I grew up in WV and never remembered hearing about tornadoes in TN. Seems like this is a phenom of recent years.
We had rain and high wind. Lots of small limbs and leaves to clean up.
Just hope all is okay with your lovely place.

Overnight rain here in Virginia and today is sunny/cloudy by turns and really humid.
Hope all is well there in TN. The pictures are amazing and the thunderheads in that last photo are impressive.

I can't remember how I got here, went to Louise's post then somebody else, er... something France, I think. The Tennessee thing caught my eye. I am just a transplant from MN. I live in Middle TN.
Quite the storms, huh? You get by ok? The ground got a good soaking here, and we were needing it!

Here in north Alabama, we are glad to have had the rain and to have less of the yellow haze.
But sorry about the tornado destruction.
