Cats Sleep Anywhere

Cats sleep anywhere, any table, any chair.
Top of piano, window-ledge, in the middle,on the edge,
Open drawer, empty shoe, anybody's lap will do.
Fitted in a cardboard box, in the cupboard with your frocks.
Anywhere! They don't care! Cats sleep anywhere.

~ Eleanor Farjeon (1881 - 1965)

Cats definitely have a lot to teach us about the important priorities in life!

What I find interesting about cats is not only that they sleep anywhere, but that they don't seem to suffer as much as dogs with the heat. And they are wearing those fur coats! :-)

And, somehow, they all manage to look as adorable as Oliver does, sleeping in whatever position that they can contort themselves into.

That is so true. I remember when we were growing up we had a white cat and it's favourite place for going to sleep was in the oven of the range we had. On the right was the open fire and to the left was a couple of ovens and the cat made her home in the bottom oven. The door was always left open so the oven never got over hot and we never cooked the cat either.
