We have had the strangest warm weather these past few weeks.
Here it is, the middle of winter, and the temperatures have reached a balmy 71 degrees, folks are running around town, in shorts and flip-flops !
The Iris shoots are popping up out of the ground, twelve inches tall already.
Today....all change.
We are in for a true taste of winter, temperatures down in the thirties and nightly freezes are in the forecast.

A good excuse to stay home, indulge in a nice pot of tea and left-over Christmas cake, and some rather lovely reading material.
Hope all is well and cozy in your little corner of the world.

We are up to 50 degrees right now and I still need a coat to get the mail. I am enjoying leftover pastries from our company yesterday and coffee in one of my favorite mugs.
Jo, my coffee table looks a lot like that... a tea cup and 2 magazines: Louisiana cookin' and Touch of the South.
Warm days in winter are a lovely bonus. But it's also nice to hibernate beside the fire.
Enjoy your tea and Xmas cake
A pot of tea and leftover Christmas cake sounds wonderful. The weather in this part of TN is a rollercoaster ride. 70 degrees (Fahrenheit) one day, 35 the next day. No snow yet but lots of rain.
A pot of tea, some leftover Christmas cake and a couple of magazines ...sounds wonderful.
All the best Jan
