If you are a regular visitor to my blog, undoubtedly you know we share our property with White-tailed deer.
Several years ago I counted a herd of forty, regularly co-existing on our little green space, happily munching away on anything they set their mind to.
Nowadays the numbers are more like seven, three of which are new fawns, a set of twins, and one other.
They visit daily, and live in the surrounding bush and woods, drinking from the birdbaths, and have become quite tame.
I've moaned and carried on about the flowers they eat willy-nilly, but I can't help but smile each time they appear.

How sweet! We have deer, too, but in much smaller numbers and because of them, must be mindful of ticks in our woods. I've been bitten by both a Lyme disease tick (bull's eye rash unmistakable and you need Doxycycline for 6 weeks!) and a Lone Star tick which caused DH and I to become allergic to beef and what a woe that is!
Hugs!
They are delightful. Lovely to see them close up, but not too close to your flowers
Great pics, Jo. And I think it's great to be able to share with nature. IMO the beauty outshines the inconveniences...
Such beautiful photos! They made me smile, too. A herd of 40 - - wow! White tail deer used to frequent my property (several have looked in my windows), but lately the loggers and hunters have scared them away.
Oh, we love the deer. We have a little family of three here. My dad used to duct tape full peanut butter jars upside down to the trees for them to eat. 💕
